Oil & Gas major leverages the e-recruitment capabilities built in SAP system to automate its internal recruitment needs using SAP e-recruitment.
 
The Client
The client is the world’s largest oil corporation with the largest crude oil reserves and production. The company’s oil operations cover Saudi Arabia including territorial waters in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea totaling more than 1.5 million sq. km and proven reserves of 259.8 billion barrels of oil. Its revenue stands at an excess of $200 billion, as of April 2008.
 
The Challenges
Being an extremely large organization, managing and redeploying available manpower was a huge concern for the Client. There was no corporate system which supported the control of these manpower resources. Activities such as submission and withdrawal of available manpower, approval for submission and withdrawal, referral and screening processes, and transferring employees were conducted either manually or on a variety of disparate systems. These activities were therefore time-consuming and did not offer sufficient flexibility to support evolving business demands. Hence, the client wanted to build a comprehensive automated system to address their needs.
 
What Kaar Offered
Our team of consultant studied the client’s existing SAP system and recommended a Solution which involved merging various processes across SAP HR. We achieved this by mapping them over SAP e-recruitment personnel actions. All this was done over the existing SAP landscape. We developed few custom applications and configured the Client’s SAP e-recruitment system to enable the process of submission and withdrawal of available manpower, assign them to a requisition upon approval, referring employees to organizations and screening, creating offer, initiating inter-departmental transfer. As a result the client successfully integrated and automated all of their existing manual business activities.
