To conduct surveys, the Client’s Surveying Services Division (SSD) utilized an in-house Survey Management Information System (SMIS) to run their daily operations and manage the surveying business requirements. SMIS was developed in 1997, it worked well for the first few years but with rapidly changing requirements it was no longer fit to sustain the demands.
